New furniture and bus for Ekukhanyeni School
Ekukhanyeni is a local school that provides care and support for severely intellectually-impaired learners and other children with disabilities. "Ekukhanyeni" in Zulu means "into the light". In 2008, Hulamin made a donation towards purchasing their school bus.
"With the money from Hulamin together with other donors we were able to purchase a new 32 seater bus for our students and they are now transported to and from school on time and are all benefitting from the teaching and learning process," said Ekukhanyeni principal, Mrs. Maude Mthembu on behalf of the school.
In 2009, another donation was made by Hulamin towards the purchase of chairs for the learners (350 in total). "Your generous contribution towards the achievement of these milestones is sincerely appreciated" said Mrs. Mthembu thanking Hulamin.
