New Home for Hulamin Engineering Solutions
There is something exciting about Hulamin Engineering Solutions (HES). The Gauteng branch has moved to a new location in Linbro Business Park and as you enter the building, there is a tangible sense of optimism and the air bristles with energy.
This was the evident buzz as we arrived for the roof wetting of the HES Gauteng branch on Friday, 19 October. Decked out in Hulamin's new corporate livery and new signage , the building itself seemed to sparkle for the occasion.
Nicola Viljoen, HES National Operations Manager, had the task of finding the new premises for HES when Hulamin announced the split of Aluminium City into Hulamin Engineering Solutions and Hulamin Building Systems in March this year. HES opted to move and Linbro Business Park has proved an excellent location as it can be easily reached from both Johannesburg and Pretoria.
Nicola says that over and above working regular office hours, the warehouse team also worked for five weekends running. Organisation and implementation of the relocation of the stock has been headed up by Warehouse Supervisor, Walter Matsane and Inventory Controller, Reuben Maine.
"The camaraderie and support these two guys provided inspired the fantastic attitude shared by the whole team. They have shown incredible leadership and great initiative in a challenging time as it was really demanding working between the two warehouses while everything was being moved," Nicola explains.
Settled in and well established at Linbro Park, the HES team is very firmly looking forward to doing exciting business in 2008.
